Born in New York, I moved to France with my mother when I was eleven. We lived about 30km from Paris, close enough to hop on a train Wednesday afternoons (when we were off from school) for a quick trip to the Louvre, the Centre Beaubourg or the Latin Quarters for a Greek sandwich.
In France I became a sought-after English tutor, creating my own materials and methodology for children as well as professionals who wanted to compete in the job market by honing their language skills.
At twenty-two I decided to come back to the United States, winding up in San Francisco where I opened Specializing in French, a language school for adults. I taught Air Liquide employees as well as a number of professionals and language lovers.
I produced all support materials for the classes as well as videos, audio tapes, and our eight hour crash course for travelers reviewed by Consumer Reports Travel Letter.
