Born in New York, my mother and I moved to France when I was eleven. We lived about 30km from Paris, close enough to hop on a train Wednesday afternoons (when we were off from school) for a quick trip to the Louvre, the Centre Beaubourg or the Latin Quarters for a Greek sandwich.
In France I became a sought after English tutor, creating my own materials and methodology for children as well as professionals who wanted to compete in the job market by honing their language skills.
At twenty-two I decided to come back to the United States, winding up in San Francisco where I opened Specializing in French, a language school for adults. I taught Air Liquide employees as well as a number of professionals and language lovers.
I produced all support materials for the classes as well as videos, audio tapes, and our eight hour crash course for travelers reviewed by Consumer Reports Travel Letter.
